For generations, students served by public schools in the Rockwood Community have underperformed on state testing relative to peers in more affluent parts of our region.

It is not RPA's intention to draw negative attention to the academic shortcomings of other public elementary schools serving Rockwood neighborhoods.   That being said, it is the heart of our mission to acknowledge and aggressively address this imbalance.  

 

While it's tragic to see the disastrous state of student achievement in our community, we take pride in the comparably strong (and continuously improving) academic performance of RPA students on state assessments.
